“Odrasla sam u komunizmu i zapravo mi ništa nije nedostajalo”, rekla je Melanija Tramp.

“Smatram da sam imala veoma lijepo djetinjstvo, a roditelji su mojoj porodici obezbijedili predivan život”, dodala je u intervjuu za “Fox & Friends”, prenosi Index.

Šta je rekla o životu u Jugoslaviji?

Melanija Tramp rođena je kao Melanija Knavs 1970. godine u Novom Mestu, a odrasla je u tadašnjoj Socijalističkoj Federativnoj Republici Jugoslaviji.

Na pitanje da li je odrastanje u komunizmu uticalo na način na koji danas gleda na slobodu, Melanija je ponovo govorila o svom iskustvu iz tog perioda.

“Ipak, postojale su određene stvari na koje ste morali paziti. Pazili ste šta radite”, rekla je.

Dodala je da tada nije bilo slobodno kao što je danas u SAD i da su vremena bila drugačija.

BRIAN KILMEADE: “Why is it that Eastern Europeans like yourself fully understand the gift of freedom and liberty better than Western Europeans, and sometimes better than Americans? What is it about how you grew up?”

FIRST LADY @MELANIATRUMP: “I grew up under the communism… I feel I had very beautiful childhood. And my parents provide a beautiful childhood for my family.

But yes, there are some certain things that, you know, you need to be aware of. And you watched over what you do. It’s not as free as here in the United States now. It’s different time, but when I was growing up was not.”
